A DASH OF WINTER

APPLIQUE PILLOW WITH EMBROIDERY MACHINE

Learn how to use your embroidery machine to appliqué. Applique too large for your hoop? Not a problem. We will also learn how to multihoop a design that will not fit into one hooping. click for more information

ARTISTA CHENILLE THROW

Did you know that your artista embroidery system can also help you create chenille?  Jan will teach you how to embroider chenille blocks to make into a "throw" size quilt. click for more information

BEGINNING HOME DEC

Gail will take you through a number of projects for your home including a table runner, circular tablecloth, pillow and curtain. You will actually sew miniature samples of most items and a few life size projects, including a pillow, round tablecloth and/or table runner. Access to a sewing machine at home is required, as there is homework involved with this class. click for more information

CARDINAL TABLE RUNNER

Grace your winter table with this quick table runner. Using a panel for part of the runner is the secret.  click for more information

CAROLINA FALL TABLE RUNNER

Several requests have been made for this class. Come see this table runner which is made with three of the BSC ’08 Shop Hop Blocks set on point with added batik fabric to form the runner. Mini piping is inserted between each segment. There will be homework. click for more information

CHENILLE APPLIQUE

Jan will teach you how to make use of those fabric scraps to create more than just another applique. Use your embroidery machine and software to create your own chenille applique. Or even use the chenille to make pot holders and other kitchen accessories! If you do not have your own embroidery machine or digitizing software, you can make arrangements before class to use one of ours. click for more information

Learn how to figure fabric requirements for circular table topper. Construct a reversible, piped table topper. click for more information

FABRIC BOWLS

Can you really make a bowl out of fabric? It's fast, fun, and easy. Jan will show you how step by step. Start with a flat "textile sandwich" made out of fabric plus optional embellishment techniques, and turn it into a 3-D bowl. What will they think of next? click for more information

GINGERBREAD HOUSE

WOW! 3-D Embroidery! New from Cactus Punch is a three-dimensional gingerbread house that will become a family heirloom. Learn new embroidery techniques such as applique, embroidering with puffy foam and working metallic threads. The designs are on a CD so you must have the Magic Box or software to transfer them into your embroidery machine. Embroidery field must be at least 5X7. click for more information

HOME DEC 101 - PIPINGS

Finishing your pillows, curtains and table toppers with piping gives a more professional finish. Gail will assist you with choosing the appropriate size piping and fabric for your project. Also learn aobut presser foot selection, piping construction and application. Lecture/Demo with some hands on. click for more information

HOME DEC 102 - RUFFLES

Ruffles – what, when, where and why do they look so good? Learn how full, how wide and where to use the different types of ruffles. LectureDemo with some hands on. click for more information

HOME DEC 103 - CIRCULAR TABLECLOTH

Learn how to use your 101 or 102 knowledge by completing a circular tablecloth. Gail will show you how to determine the correct size for your round table and finish with either piping or a ruffle. Home Dec 101 or 102 required before taking this class. click for more information

MODERN MIX TABLE RUNNER

On point table runner made from Modern Mix fabrics with 3-D leaf embellishment, applique flowers and bais tube stems on fusible interfacing. Homework will be required to finish this project in 3 three hours sessions.  click for more information
